The versatility of Max's low flow meters make them the leading choice for measuring real time or on-line, liquid additive applications. The application profile is wide and varied, involving industries as diverse as facial tissue, cosmetics, petrochemical and aluminum.
The common theme of all of the Max additive applications is that a relatively small amount of fluid material is added or blended into the main product stream. Since the additive component changes or adds certain desirable characteristics to the final product, the formulation must be precise. Further, since this formulation is done "on-the-fly" and not through batch processing; final product quality is dependent on high resolution, repeatability and accurate metering over the entire operating range.
Intermittent injections are not a problem. The Max meters are precise volumetric displacement devices which are not affected by flow profile or turbulence. Abrupt Starts and Stops in the flow rate do not impact the meter’s fixed displacement, the key to its high repeatability. To deliver the most reliable signal, the Max meter uses a state of the art encoder with an anti-dither function to prevent over reporting of flow due to check valve leakage or pump drawback.
