Flow meter rated for hazardous atmospheres

Hazardous Atmosphere Flow Meter EquipmentMax products have always offered U.S. and Canadian certifications for hazardous locations.  With the addition of the ATEX certification and IECEx compliance, these products are equally welcome in the EU and can be specified without additional testing or documentation for use in any member state.

The ATEX directive harmonizes the various national codes into an overarching criterion of tests and standards covering the use of electrical devices in areas which contain explosive atmospheres.  By adding this additional certification, Max has become a U.S. based supplier of ATEX-approved flow metering equipment, for your European projects.

Our new line of EX295 transmitters meet U.S. and Canadian Haz-Loc classifications, Class I, Div 1, Groups C and D, as well as EU rating of ATEX/IECEx II 2 G Ex d IIB Tx Gb.  The certified housing can be outfitted with any of the transmitter signal outputs: Pulse, 2 Phase Quadrature, Voltage or Current.  These transmitters have a short delivery time and can be configured for either uni-directional or bi-directional applications.

This line of high-resolution, linearized transmitters fit the entire line of Max flow meters.  So, the unique capabilities of the precision Max meters are available even when the atmospheric conditions require a Haz-Loc rating.
