The majority of Helical meters sold by Max use the Model 289 proximity pick-up to generate a pulse output. The attraction of the Model 289 is that it creates a pocket-less meter which is ideal for high viscosity materials. Due to the large installed base, Max Machinery will continue to offer the Model 289 as well as the new, 290 Series of linearized transmitters. If you are familiar with the Model 289 and wish to continue with it in your process, by all means specify it on future orders. If you would like to upgrade to either a higher resolution pulse signal, or a fully linearized analog signal, please review the Model 295 transmitter choices.
