The Shell Eco-marathon Americas has come to a close in Detroit.
This April marks the 30th anniversary for Paul Hock as a Max employee. To celebrate the occasion, the entire company took off for the afternoon to enjoy a wonderful Italian lunch and then we hit the (mini) golf course to test our patience and skill.
Everyone had a great time. Whether they were casual players...
The Max team is on hand to ensure that the real time fuel measurement is a really big success.
It's a little hard to put an exact age on this meter. The serial number predates the convention that was adopted in 1981, so we know that it is at least 35 years old.
The Shell Eco-Marathon will be held in three locations this year. The first group will compete in Manila over the March 3rd through 6th weekend. The Eco-Marathon Americas will be held in Detroit over the April 21st through 24th weekend. And starting in 2016, the Eco-Marathon Europe will be moving from Rotterdam, Netherlands to the streets of London on the weekend of June 30th through July 3rd.
Prior to the launch of the Model P001, the Model 213 meter was the go-to meter for measuring fuel efficiency and characterizing engine performance and health in UAV programs. The natural progression to smaller, more fuel-efficient engines was inevitable to further extend the working range among unmanned aerial vehicles. To continue to service this industry, Max Machinery built an even smaller displacement flow meter to allow measurements of less than 1 cc/min of fuel consumption.
